The Last of Us 2 Shown Off to GameStop Employees, Brief Gameplay Details Revealed

The GameStop Managers Conference is taking place this week in Nashville, Tennessee and it seems that one of Sony’s most anticipated upcoming PS4-exclusives made an appearance during the event today.

As shared on Twitter by user @Gaming_Forte, Sony showed off some brief new footage of The Last of Us Part II. They didn’t just talk about the game in general though instead revealed some all-new gameplay. The footage shown apparently highlighted stealth and “how you can use clickers to your advantage.” The gameplay was also said to be dark with only “fire and flash lights” illuminating the area.

 

In addition to showing the new footage, The Last of Us Part II voice actor Troy Baker also briefly appeared on stage, seemingly to talk about the upcoming release. Baker, who plays Joel in the game, seemed to briefly chat about the project on stage, but what he said wasn’t divulged.

 

Last but not least, when asked when the public might see this new footage, @Gaming_Forte responded by simply saying, “Soon.” Whether or not Sony gave those behind closed doors additional information on when the game might release or when new gameplay footage would arrive publicly wasn’t detailed.

Regardless, the fact that Sony is now willing to show off more of The Last of Us Part II to anyone bodes well. With Paris Games Week coming up, in addition to Outbreak Day next month, perhaps we’ll have more info on The Last of Us Part II sooner rather than later.

 

As of now, The Last of Us Part II still doesn’t have a release date, but it will be coming to PS4 exclusively when it launches.

 

The Last of Us Part II To Be Shown Publicly At Madrid Games Week Next Month
 

More on The Last of Us Part II is coming very soon, and the public will be able to get a new glimpse at the game in a few weeks.

 

On the Spanish Official PlayStation Blog, it’s been confirmed that The Last of Us Part II will be shown at the Madrid Games Week, which will be held in the Spanish capital city from October 3rd to October 6th. Death Stranding will also be shown in a theater presentation featuring exclusive content.

 

It’s not yet clear how The Last of Us Part II will be shown, but it’s likely that we will see a new trailer and some new gameplay footage. The game will not be playable, as the same post mentions that playable demos will be available only for the Medievil Remake, Dreams, Concrete Genie, Nioh 2 and Predator: Hunting Grounds. Still, it will be nice to see more of the game, as it’s been quite some time since we have seen it in action.

 

The Last of Us Part II is setting out to be Naughty Dog’s most ambitious game, according to voice actor Troy Baker. The actor also talked about the release date, which has yet to be announced.

I think they’ve probably been smart not to tell us because we can’t slip up and say something stupid. Last time we announced, we slipped. And they don’t want to do that again. We are still cranking on it, I can tell you that much. Where it’s at in development, I have no idea. Everybody feels like it’s broken until it’s shipping, and then when it’s shipping they’re like, ‘We shipped a broken game!’ And that’s the gig of making a game.

Ooo zmogau, nusivylimas del Last Of Us?, no way. Kazkada tik del sio zaidimo pirkau PS3, o veliau PS4 kad galeciau Remasteri perlost. Nusivylimas ir Nauthy Dog - nedera.

Beje media gaus palosti zaidima taip pat, bet jokio gameplay video nebus. Jie gales tik pasakoti ispudzius.

Nauthy Dog kol kas irgi aš manau ne iš tų studijų kurie atmestinai daro.

Aš nesakau, kad studija kažką sugadins (nors sugeba ir studijos prisidirbti.. imkim kaip pvz DICE ir BF V fiasko - kas galėjo pagalvoti.. nors jų žaidimus perku nuo.. bf 1942 laikų).

Turiu omeny, kad lūkesčiai gali būti suformuoti mūsų psichologine būsena prieš 6 metus. Žaidimas išeis gal dar už metų. Tai jau bus praėję visi 7 metai nuo pirmojo.

Čia panašiai kaip Duke Nukem buvo epic. Labai laukiau naujojo. O kai išėjo - net trailerio turbūt iki galo nepažiūrėjau
