Qualcomm’s newly released product is the powerful Snapdragon S3 which features dual-core Scorpion CPUs boasting at 1.5Ghz and an Andreno 220 GPU. When the time has arrived, the company has said that people can look forward to their Snapdragon S4 with dual-core Krait CPUs (28nm) and the faster Adreno 225 GPU, which according to Qualcomm will exceed the current generation console 3D gaming experiences.

With only a small number of games right now that are tune-up to delicately show off the maximum potential of multi-core CPUs and GPUs, in the next couple of quarters we can look forward to enjoying more as dual-core smartphones become the trend.

„Amžini DVD“ prekyboje pasirodys jau šį spalį

Kompanija „Millenniata“ sėkmingai baigė tobulinti DVD diskų „M-Disc" technologiją ir artimiausiu metu rengiasi pradėti prekybą naujaisiais gaminiais. Į šias laikmenas įrašius failus, jie ten bus saugomi amžinai – bent jau taip teigia gamintojas.

Nuotrauka

Toshiba releases 55-inch Ultra high definition no-glasses 3D tv

Nuotrauka

Yes, you read that right. Toshiba is ready to launch an ultra high def 3D tv that doesn’t require 3D glasses. With a 16:9 ratio, displaying at 3,840 x 2,160 pixels, you get roughly 4x the quality of our current 1080p. In addition, special facial tracking allows the tv to track how many people are actually viewing the tv at a time, and provides up to 9 different viewing angles for multiple persons to view the tv in 3D. Now that is god damn impressive. You know what else is impressive? The price tag. If you want to grab this bad-boy, you’ll have to drop $13,000 on it.

normalus toks TV, kaina dar normalesne :thumbsup4:

SONY issove visai frontais krc..

Sony adds lenticular sheet to laptop for webcam-enhanced glasses-free 3D

Nuotrauka

It looks like those not fond of 3D glasses will soon have another means to add an extra dimension to their laptop. Sony's now showing off a simple lenticular sheet that can be placed on top of a standard laptop screen for a 3D effect. That will initially be available for Sony's VAIO S series laptops and, most interestingly, it comes complete with some head-tracking software that takes advantage of the laptop's webcam to adjust the 3D image based on your position. Unfortunately, as simple as it may seem, it's still not exactly the cheapest solution -- you can expect to shell out €129 (or about $180) when this option becomes available next month.

Kinieciu quad-core Meizu MX smartas jau rugseji. ir tai tikrai neatrodo kaip pigus crap is kinijos,o su rimtu A9 CPU.

gal netgi tai bus tas pats CPU kuris suks PS Vita.

Nuotrauka

The trickle of Meizu MX news continues: we're on target for a late September release in China, with a price tag of ¥4,999 ($780 converted) for the 32GB quad-core brute and ¥3,999 ($625) for its less monstrous dual-core 16GB sibling. Both phones are powered by A9 processors, although it's not yet clear if the quad-core chip is same as the Samsung engine in the PlayStation Vita. The 4.3-inch screen will be qHD and overall thickness will stay within the 10mm (0.4-inch) threshold. No doubt we'll have the full low-down from Engadget Chinese as soon as it launches.

Vuzix Wrap 1200VR 3D VR 720p akiniai uz $600.

tik labiau skirti PC windousam. konsolem pajungt reiks papildomu adapteriu.

Nuotrauka

If you scored yourself Vuzix's Wrap 1200 side-by-side 3D video eyewear last month, you may want to know the company's VR variant is now available for $600 (about 100 bones more). With the Wrap 1200VR, you'll again be viewing a simulated 75-inch 3D (or 2D, if you'd prefer) display at ten feet away, in up to 720p HD via its dual monitor setup. The VR bit comes from the included Wrap Tracker 6TC with compass, which enables head-tracking with three degrees of freedom. Better yet, its coupled drift control should maintain silky smooth visuals when you're tilting your noggin' to scope out the on-screen action. Out of box, these specs are said to play nice with most Windows machine's graphics cards and VGA connections, but adapters are required to rock them with your PS3 or Xbox 360. If your eyes are already tearing up with joy, you'll find full details in the PR just past the break.

The Vuzix Wrap 1200VR is available now at www.vuzix.com for $599.99

bet matyt ne veltui Sony 3D viewer'iai bus daug didesni i sunkesni ir kainuos daugiau. kokybe atitinka kaina kaip sakoma.

LG introduces ‘dual view’ televisions for videogamers

A new application of 3D television technology will allow videogamers to see two completely different 2D pictures when they are competing against each other.

The system, being introduced to LG’s new "Dual View" televisions, allows players to use the same screen but see different images, thanks to different 3D-style glasses.

The new technology, demonstrated by Microsoft and set to go on sale in a limited number of LG televisions, displays two separate pictures on the same screen, and then uses special 3D-style glasses to ensure that each player can only see one image.

Currently only available on the Xbox platform, the technology works with LG’s Cinema 3D range, including the new flagship LW980T

Gamers will, however, have to buy additional pairs of special glasses, which are expected to retail for less than £20 for both pairs.

Currently, video gamers use a split screen to reveal their respective positions on the same television, but this means that rival players can also see their opponent’s view. Using the new technology, each player sees only a 2D version of their own position.

A dedicated, 24” Sony gaming television is set to be launched in the UK later in the year, and will make a similar system possible for PlayStation users. That model, however, uses more expensive “active shutter” glasses, while LG’s models adopt the cheaper “passive” glasses technology.

The flagship LW980T will retail from £1,799, but the ‘Dual View’ technology is also be available across LG’s ‘Cinema 3D’ range. LG demonstrated the system at the IFA technology conference in Berlin.

Sony Binoculars That Take Video in 3-D

Nuotrauka

Nuotrauka

Nuotrauka

Why do like engineers like to graft together disparate devices? Shoes with a built in speaker and MP3 player come to mind as one of the stranger pairings, but the folks at Sony have come up with an electronic mash-up that makes surprising sense.

It’s a set of binoculars with a built-in video camera.

Why binoculars? 3-D, silly. The binoculars have two lenses, accommodating two sensors and two processors to capture 3-D video in 1920 x 1080 resolution.

With a 32-gigabyte memory card, the glasses can record two and a half hours of 3-D video, or almost 13 hours of lower resolution 2-D video. There is no internal memory, so you will need a Class 4 or higher SD, SDHC or SDXC memory card — or a more expensive Sony Memory stick.

Images are saved in Sony’s AVCHD format, which means you can burn them to inexpensive red laser discs, but a Blu-Ray player will play the recording in full HD.

There is a built-in microphone and also a jack for an accessory microphone, as well as a headphone jack.

The premium model, called the DEV-5, has an optical zoom that can magnify a subject 10 times, or you can use the digital zoom to increase the magnification to 20x. Electronic autofocus and image stabilization help to keep your subjects sharp.

The lithium-ion battery can record 2-D for up to three hours (no specification on 3-D, but you can bet it’s less). Battery life is displayed on the viewfinder.

The Dev-5 geotags videos and still photos, which are 7.1 megapixels in square 4:3 format, or 5.3 megapixels in wide screen format.

These binoculars are a natural for birdwatchers with a well-feathered wallet. Available in November, the DEV-5 lists for $2,000. A model with fewer features, the DEV-3, is listed at $1,400.
