Find Makarov: Modern Warfare 3 Reveal Coming Next Week

Huge news for Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 fans, a new site has just launched that displays what can only be assumed to be a countdown to the reveal of the next game in the franchise. findmakarov.com has just launched with a countdown perched at just under five days. Activision also sent out bloody dog tags that had the message "end war" on them.

At http://findmakarov.com you will find the countdown, alongside a quick flash of the villain from Modern Warfare 2 when you load the page. As you can probably remember Makarov made it out alive of Modern Warfare 2, and is likely the next target of Modern Warfare 3.

Modern Warfare 3 To Use Same Engine As Call of Duty 2

Infinity Ward creative strategist Robert Bowling has said that building a new engine for the Call of Duty franchise "would be counter productive".

When it was put to him on Twitter that "someone just needs to spend the $ and construct a new engine for the CoD franchise... Ground up," Bowling replied: "That would be counter productive. An engine takes years and years to develop and get right."

His comments were made at the same time the internet started going Battlefield 3 crazy over the COD rival's first gameplay trailer, which showed off DICE's impressive Frostbite 2 engine, described by EA as "incredible technology that takes animation, destruction, lighting, scale and audio to new heights".

All of the Call of Duty games since 2005's CoD2 have run on the Infinity Ward engine, which has been modified for each iteration of the series, and it sounds like it's going to be no different when the next CoD title releases.

Bowling was also asked over the last day whether he still works for Activision, and if he's going to join his former bosses at new studio Respawn.

He replied: "I work at Infinity Ward and plan to remain here. We've got a great team and working on a great project."

Infinity Ward is rumoured to be co-developing a new Modern Warfare game for release this year with fellow Activision studios Sledgehammer Games and Raven Software.

Last month, the UK Official PlayStation Magazine lent credence to speculation that Modern Warfare 3 will be a prequel starring fan favourite character Ghost.

viskas cia normalu. ir niekaip kitaip negalejo but. kadangi is infinity ward likes tik pavadinimas. o cod serijos bei sio variklio autoriai jau seniai pasitrauke i EA. o patys activision turbut nelabai turi zmoniu kurie galetu sukurti nauja varikli arba bent patobulinti esama iki siuolaikiniu reikalavimu.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is an upcoming first-person shooter video game set to be released in November 2011. It will be the eighth installment in the Call of Duty series. Due to a legal dispute between the game's publisher Activision and the former co-executives of Infinity Ward - which caused several lay-offs and departures within the company - Sledgehammer Games will assist in the development of the singleplayer, and Raven Software will develop the multiplayer. The game is said to have been in development since only two weeks after the release of the previous game, Call of Duty: Black Ops. Sledgehammer is aiming for a "bug free" first outing in the Call of Duty franchise, which also sets a goal for Metacritic review scores above 95 percent.

Modern Warfare 3 to Get a June Reveal

The biggest game in the world returns soon. At least that’s the message in the latest issue of Official PlayStation Magazine. In a teaser for its July issue, the magazine depicts a large “3″, hinting at none other than Modern Warfare 3. We all knew it was coming, right?
Voice actor Craig Fairbrass had previously hinted that a Modern Warfare 3 announcement was imminent.
“I did Call of Duty: Modern Warfare as Gaz and then I did Ghost in Modern Warfare 2, which has become one of the more iconic figures in the history of computer games, which is great,” Fairbrass said during a radio interview.
“And I’ve just been out in LA doing something that’s going to be announced in May,” he added. “I’ve just been out there doing some bits and pieces, and one is to do with… I can’t say too much.”

Two days ago, Activision officially spoke instead of a mysterious new Call of Duty with a strong vocation for online and multiplayer cross-platform between PC and console: it is perhaps for this Call of Duty Elite? Massive potential spoilers, so be warned. Like, seriously, the whole game is basically down below:

- Coming out November 8th
- Will “reshape the landscape of the Call of Duty franchise”
- Opens immediately following the ending of Modern Warfare 2
- Play as Russian Federal Protective Services agent, SAS Operative, tank gunner, AC-130 gunner, and key characters from previous installments
- 15 missions
- First mission is the Russian invasion of Manhattan
- Last mission set in Dubai
- Contains lots of gunfire (Surprise…)
- Two new Delta Force operatives named “Frost” and “Sandman”
- Vladimir Makarov is back
- Captain John “Soap” MacTavish and Captain John Price are wounded and “on the run” with Russian informant Nikolai
- One mission has them hiding out in India when they are attacked by Makarov’s forces and helped by a man named Yuri
- One mission set in Manhattan where players assault the stock exchange building
- One mission where you fly a Blackhawk and shoot at things in Manhattan like helicopters and submarines
- Settings consist of: Dharmasala, India, New York, New York, a plane transporting the president of Russia, a town in Sierra Leone, London, England, Mogadishu, Somalia, Hamburg, Germany, Paris, France, Prague, Czech Republic, a castle in the Czech mountains, Berlin, Germany, the Kremlin in Moscow, Russia, Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and Washington. D.C.
- One mission has you playing as a Russian body guard on a plane with the Russian president when you’re attacked and the president is kidnapped. Then, evil people start attacking the U.S.
- After this, you once again play as Soap and stuff in Africa where you’re tracking down an arms dealer
- Then you also play in Germany where you have to defend Hamburg
- Finally, Soap and Yuri and Sandman all meet up at a hotel where they find and kill Makarov
- There is a post-credits mission featuring the burning of Washington D.C.
