IndieCade East is an annual celebration of independent games and the peoplewho make and play them. The exciting weekend features dozens of new and unreleased games, a packed schedule of talks, panels, and workshops by designers, developers, players, organizers, thinkers, activists, historians, critics, and provocateurs. IndieCade is the country’s premier Festival for independent video games, dedicated to the discovery, development, and recognition of independent designers and developers from around the world.

This year IndieCade is pleased to announce that IndieCade East is the kickoff for a long term exhibit at the Museum of the Moving Image that will remain on display through June 17th.

IndieCade Presents: A Decade of Game Design highlights eight influential game developers from this past decade, presenting recent projects and contextualizing them within their larger bodies of work. Featuring Anna Anthropy, Tracy Fullerton, Copenhagen Game Collective, David Kanaga, Paolo Pedercini, Nonny de la Pena, Jason Rohrer, and Tale of Tales, A Decade of Game Design explores how games grew into a bona fide artistic and expressive medium.
