Grand Theft Auto V's Lead Character Comes to Light?

There's been all manner of rumours, hearsay and speculation whizzing around the web since the Grand Theft Auto V debut trailer landed a couple of weeks ago, and usually, we don't buy into that sort of thing unless it looks especially juicy or credible, and this latest rumour could have a bit of weight behind it.

 

It's regarding GTA V's lead character, who many assume will be the trailer's narrator. Apparently, it's the voice of Law & Order star Ned Luke, who's credited with the role of Albert De Silva on the GTA V IMDb page. This is backed up by a tweet from actor Jimmy Taenaka, which reads: "my fellow thespian Ned Luke is the lead voice and profile in the upcoming game by Rockstar Grand Theft Auto 5! Way to go Ned! Wholly Molly!"

 

Taenaka later took back his statement, claiming that he, like the majority of fans, simply recognised the voice, and rather uncanny likeness of actor Luke and the suited mobster character featured in the trailer (pictured). So, while it still looks as though Ned Luke is more than likely in the game in some capacity, it's not yet known whether he'll be in the lead role. Nothing has been confirmed by Rockstar since the trailer.

 

A second look at the IMDb page for GTA V, also lists Young Maylay as reprising his Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas role as Carl 'CJ' Johnson, but this is merely rumoured. Could we be seeing a return for Los Santos' original rags to riches hero though? Possibly. Again, nothing's been confirmed, so all of this is pure speculation for now.

Defenders of Ardania is a next-generation tower defense game set in the rich fantasy world of Majesty, but with a twist. Besides the addictive core mechanics of placing towers to stop advancing enemy units, Defenders of Ardania also allows players to take on the role of the attackers seeking to conquer the enemy base.

Defenders of Ardanias innovative new game concepts include light RTS elements, taking the popular genre to the next level. Players must oversee unit production and upgrades while assembling the most effective army from one of three playable races, each with unique locations, towers, and units. However, without magic, a fantasy game is little more than a toothless lion (or dragon, rather), so a wide range of spells will be available for players to decimate their enemies and protect their forces.

Although Defenders of Ardania includes a single-player portion, the focus of the game is undoubtedly multiplayer, where two to four players can take each other on or compete against AI opponents via Internet, LAN, or PSN. The multiplayer component offers three different game modes where players can assume either the defensive or offensive sides -- or both!

Jo. Su malūnsparniais perpratau prieš Jet'us... Daugiausiai pripratau prie valdymo per CO-OP tą misiją "Fire from the sky". Ir tikrai Little Bird'ui trūksta galios, nes kažkoks labai lėtas.

Nu ka išbandžiau Jet'as normaliai... Labai patiko. Pripratau prie valdymo ir jau kažką nušaunu! Šiaip tie Heat Seekers man praverčia kartais, nes yra daug naujokų, kurie net Flares neturi tai iškart disabled ir tada su minigun dabaigi... Arba kokį malūnsparnį, lengiau numti su Heat Seeker.

Gran Turismo 6 is in the Development Garage Now

In a recent interview with Polyphony Digital main man and Mr. Gran Turismo, Kazunori Yamauchi, Gran Turismo 6 has been confirmed and is currently in development. This comes straight from the horse's mouth too, as Yamauchi stated matter-of-factly in the interview. "Of course we're working on GT6 already," he said.

But what could Polyphony possibly introduce for Gran Turismo 6 that hasn't already been crammed into the feature and content-packed GT5? "What really will be the separating factor is something that we can't update through a DLC is something that obviously has to be saved for GT6," Yamauchi stated.

On the subject of DLC, Yamauchi also discussed additional add-ons for Gran Turismo 5, with the first bits of DLC now out of the door and available on the PlayStation Store. "It's been about a year since we've released the game and in the interim we've had about 15 updates that were performed on the game. These set up the basic platform for the system," Yamauchi explained to IGN.

"Now that we have that out of the way, we're ready to release more expansions and content to add to the game."

This additional planned DLC will include more vehicles, including cars and trucks every two months, but it'll be feedback from fans that'll help shape future content. "What we do from here on is also really dependent on the reaction of the users to this first DLC that we just released because this is the first one. Now we have the feedback from our customers and we'll see how that will affect what we will do from here."

Yamauchi offered no further details on Gran Turismo 6, but hopefully, it won't take as many years as GT5 did in arriving on PS3.
