  • 2.0 (Eclair)Pridėta nauja interneto narsyklė, atnaujinta vartotojo sąsaja, pridėtas HTML5 ir W3C Geolocation API palaikymas.Taip pat buvo atnaujinta camera app.
  • 2.1 (Eclair)Pridėtas balso kontrolės palaikymas, animuotų fonų palaikymas ir turėjo penkis namų ekranus vietoj trijų, taip pat buvo pridėtas mygtukas atidaryti menu (vietoj slider'io). Buvo pridėta nauja weather app ir pagęrintas Email ir Phonebook apps funkcionalumas.
  • 2.2 (Froyo) Pristatė greičio patobulinimus su JIT optimizavimu ir Chrome V8 JavaScript varikliuku, ir pridėtas Wi-Fi hotspot tethering* bei Adobe Flash palaikymas.
  • 2.3 (Gingerbread) Pagerinta vartotojo sąsaja, soft keyboard ir kopijuoti / įklijuoti savybės ir pridėtas Near Field Communication palaikymas.
  • 3.0 (Honeycomb) Buvo orientuotas i planšetinius kompiuterius, su didelių ekranų palaikymu ir daug naujų vartotojo sąsajos funkcijū. Buvo pridėtas multicore procesorių ir hardware acceleration for graphics palaikymas.
  • 3.1 (Honeycomb) Pridetas išorinės klaviatūros, pelės ir gamepad'ū palaikymas ir daug kitu smulkių atnaujinimų.
  • 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) Paskelbta 2011 m. spalio 19 d. Pridetos 'Honeycomb' savybės išmaniesiems telefonams taip pat pridėta naujų funkcijų, įskaitant 'facial recognition unlock', 'network data usage monitoring and control', 'unified social networking contacts', 'photography enhancements', 'offline email searching', ir 'information sharing using NFC'

Ech, custom rom's FTW. HTC jau buvo pareiškę, kad froyo ant legend nebus, bet galiausiai nenorom vistiek išleido. Aišku gingerbread'o leist legendui jie tikrai nenorės, nes tipo "neveža geležis", nors gingerbreadą su CM jau senai turiu :kede:

Geriau nerašyk gingerbredo ant Huawei u8500, draugelis įsirašė tai sakė, viskas su**sta ten, kamera nefilmuoja, su speakeriu nesamonės darosi, žodžiu manau užtenka pilnai ir froyo.

Google Announces Android 4.1 Jelly Bean

It’s official! Android 4.1 Jelly Bean is coming.

First thoughts after Ice Cream Sandwich came out were that Jelly Bean would be known as Android 5.0, however as the new operating system rolls off features that we currently see with Ice Cream Sandwich, it makes sense for the new operating system update by Google to be known as Android 4.1 instead.

With over 400 million Android Devices activated, according to Google at the Google I/O event, there will be a lot of devices craving this latest update. In all honesty, I am quite happy with the features available on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, and they meet the needs of today, however there are one or two bugs. It may be that Android is worried about the upcoming release of iOS 6, and how it could have an impact on sales, so they are stepping it up a notch to deliver us an even better system to use on our devices.

Google are showing the transition between our current Android operating system and the upcoming update as Project Butter, due to the fact that Google wishes to make Android “as smooth as butter”. Sounds good to me, I quite like butter.

So, what’s new?

Homescreen will be improved, with widgets resizing to look better

Apps conform around widgets

Voice Typing will be active, advanced speech recognition

Adding to that, Voice Typing will have Error Detection, so if you say a word like “there”, and in the sentence it should be “their”, it will automatically correct itself due to context. How cool is that?

In notifications you will be able to “Like” and +1 stuff

Search is being changed, with a feature much like Siri perhaps being integrated

The SDK is already available, and the update will be hitting the Galaxy Nexus, Nexus S and Xoom devices in Mid July using Over The Air technology

The long-awaited roll-out appears to have commenced, with lucky GS III owners in Poland being among the first to get an early official taste of Android 4.1.1. If you hadn't heard, the update will bring a host of subtle yet powerful improvements, including Google Now for anticipating search queries, smooth UI improvements from Project Butter, as well as some Samsung extras already seen on the Galaxy Note II, such as a resizable Pop-up play screen. Hopefully this means the update will soon be sent on its merry way to GS IIIs in other parts of the Old World, and maybe at some point -- dare we suggest it -- those in the US too.

Now that Samsung has commenced beaming Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean OTA toward deserving Galaxy S III customers, it's announced a raft of other devices set to receive the buttery OS in the near future. On the list are the Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 and 10.1, Galaxy Note 10.1, Galaxy S II, Galaxy Note, Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus, Galaxy S Advance, Galaxy S II LTE, Galaxy Music, Galaxy Chat, Galaxy Ace 2, Galaxy Beam, Galaxy Ace Plus, Galaxy mini II and Galaxy S Duos. That should bring a bit of extra speed and smoothness to those devices, along with Google Now for search and Samsung's own flourishes from the latest TouchWiz UX. As for the rest of us, there's more than one way to skin a Smartphone -- or avoid skinning one, as the case may be.

      Aš dėl šito sutinko, kad patenka build'ai į diskus, kuriuos galima žaisti be jokių atnaujinimų, tačiau jie yra bugovi ir/ar turi problemu su performance. Aš turėjau omenyje atvejus, kai papuola į diskus net ne žaidimo buildas, o tiesiog licenzija užimanti keliasdešimt megabaitų pvz. CoD Black Ops 6, čia va yra visiška nesamonė ir tinginystė, nes nematau, jokios priežasties kodėl negali įdėti geriau bugovo žaidimo buildo į 100GB diską, kuris nors ir neįdealus, vis tiek bus veikiantis. O dėl kainų, tai faktas, kad skaitmena yra žymiai pigesnė, čia net nebuvo įtrauktos eksporto/importo išlaidos, o kame dar tai, kad parduotuvės turi uždirbti nuo parduodamos kopijos.  Dėl žaidimo diskų perpardavimo, tai nemanau, kad čia yra problema leidėjams, nes didžiausia apyvarta yra iš išankstinių užsakymų bei žaidimų išleidimo dienos, kai dar nėra galimybės nusipirkti naudotą diską. Čia kodėl egzistuoja DRM blogybė ant PC žaidimų, bet čia dar kita tema.

      Šiais laikais developeriai labai stipriai priklausomi nuo leidėjų. yra duodami terminai kurių reikia laikytis ko pasekoj į diskus patenka stipriai neįšbaigtos žaidimų versijos. kas dėl laikmenos kainos: tai leidėjas va vistiek turi susimokėt. (Sony gamina ir jiem priklauso bluray, reiškias leidejas norėdamas išleisti žaidimą diske turi susimokėt tuos "centus" o kai partija didelė tai ir kaina susidaro). Va ir prieinam prie to, kad skaitmeną išleisti pigiau. Kas dėl Microsofto tai jie moka sony už leidimą naudoti bluray. automatiškai jiem labiau apsimoka skaitmena Viskas būt gerai su diskais, bet bėda ta, kad juos galima peržaidus parduoti, o tai labai nepatinka ir sony ir ms, nes taip jie praranda pinigus. ko pasekoj po truputį pereisim prie visiškai skaitmenos. daėjom iki to, kad net pirkdamas collectors edition gauni tik tuščią žaidimo dėžutę
