The gamesweekberlin running from April 8–14, 2019 is the leading cross-industry communication and networking platform for games business, development, and culture in Europe. Over seven days, the umbrella brand combines multiple events for industry representatives and game enthusiasts alike. In 2018 about 15.000 internationaland German game developers, publishers, investors, and influencers from public institutions and the media industry as well as gamers, families and fans came to Berlin.
The gamesweekberlin 2019 connects avariety of events, including the games business and development conference QUO VADIS, the independent video games festival A MAZE. / Berlin, thepublic playing event Gamefest, the action program for more gender diversity in games Womenize! Games and Tech, the VIP Matchmaking Dinner and theprofessional eSports conference GERMAN ESPORTS SUMMIT.
In 2019, the Kulturbrauerei in Berlin will be the central information, expo and accreditation center for all participants. Partners of the gamesweekberlin are represented in an overall communication complex, including visibility in all participating events.

For the second time, the GERMAN ESPORTS SUMMIT will come to the heart of
gamesweekberlin on April 11, 2019 in Berlin. The main conference of the German Esports
Federation ESBD will push the debate about esports to the next level, taking “The Esports
Movement” as the central topic of the event. The focus will be on esports as a digital sports
movement that brings together millions of esports athletes competing all around the world.
The declared aim of the event is to jointly develop this “esports movement” and to unfold its
full potential, helping key stakeholders to develop esports ona societal scale.
The #GES19 will bring together pro teams, amateursports and esports clubs, sports
associations, politics and policymakers, as well as science and business in amazing
presentations, panels and workshops. In the unique atmosphere of the historic
Kulturbrauerei attendees will be presented an extensive program in two conference tracks.
Hosted with English and German conference parts, the GES19 emphasizes on the
international character of esports and becomes a central networking hotspot for the
European movement.

Womenize! is an action program for females in Games and Tech, combining practical and
theoretical program parts. The format is designed specifically for professionals and emerging
talents in the fields of games, media and IT industry – including HR & culture managers,
decision makers, institutions and multipliers.
Womenize! connects people, features success stories and highlights on the many activities
offered to promote womenin the workplace. The initiative was born as a premium event of
the #gamesweekberlin 2015 and attracted more than 250 visitors from around theworld. The
next edition is taking place in Berlin during the gamesweekberlin 2019!
The event is open to all genders.
