Black Mesa ne Valve kūrybos, todėl tai tikrai ne Black Mesa.

 

Tikėkimes tai bus EP3, kuriuo galėtų viską ir užbaigt, nors labiau norėtusi, jog viska užbaigtų su HL3, o EP3 išvis neleistų.

HL2: Episode Three isn’t Valve’s big surprise, says Newell

The dream: gone. Heartbroken. Am cry.

 

Valve boss Gabe Newell has said that whatever Valve’s surprise is for E3 next week is not (reiterate: not) Half Life 2: Episode Three.

 

In an email reply to a user from fansite Halflife2.net, Newell said the surprise “isn’t Ep 3″.

 

He went on to add in a later email that the teaser image that was discovered at the end of last week, which seemed to show that something was cooking regarding the final chapter of the HL2 saga, was “fake”.

 

Valve announced last week it had canceled its E3 event, which would have shown off Portal 2 for the first time, to instead be replaced by said surprise.

Rumor: Half-Life 3 Steam Achievements Surface

There’s a little thing called momentum, an there seems to be plenty of it behind what seems to be an upcoming reveal of Half-Life 3 at the 2011 Video Game Awards. Thanks to Marccell who posted in one of our previous articles, it appears that the Steam achievements for Half-Life 3 have been uncovered.

 

We’re a little surprised at the percentages beside the achievements, but if only developers are playing the title, it may be logical as to why they’re so high. The title has been rumored to be in development for quite some time, but with the latest slew of rumors emerging, it feels that we may actually be seeing the title revealed in the very near future.

 

Going to the link that’s presented in the screenshot reveals an error in the website. Leading us to believe that either Valve has pulled the list of achievements from public view, or they never existed in the first place. We do find it hard to believe that Valve would allow the achievements to be so publicly accessible, especially this early when the game hasn’t even been announced.

Well, isn’t this turning out to be an eventful week.

 

Another chapter in the dark history of the missing Half-Life threequel was written today, as our brothers-in-arms over at ValveTime have managed to get a hold of some pretty monumental stuff: 32 concept art images for Half-Life 2: Episode Three, dating from circa 2008 (before EP3 was presumably cancelled, and then restarted development as Half-Life 3). They show concept drawings for:

 

- a redesigned Alyx (wearing her deceased father’s clothes)

 

- the crashed Resistance helicopter in the Arctic

 

- Gordon Freeman, now sporting a hooded winter parka

 

- all-new characters (refugee inhabitants of the Arctic, and possibly a new Combine creature or two)

 

- and what seems to be the Xen borderworld (completely re-imagined, ten years after Xen was first envisioned for Half-Life 1)

 

I have been able to independently verify the status of these images, and it does seem as though they are, in fact, real, possibly created by Valve’s own Andrea Wicklund.

 

Well… without further ado, here is what the newest entry in the Half-Life franchise looked like, as of 2008. Beware, as these art pieces may represent game spoilers:

jei dar tik tariamus ir dar tik conceptus nuleakino ..tai cia dar tolimas kelias per kopas kad ir butu kas nors tikra..o gaila ..kazkaip nesuprantu galejo tiek pasipelnyt valve..juk visi jo laukia ..na ko nors HL3 ar HL2 episode 3 . just give us something :)
