The upcoming adventure game boasts a unique art style that mixes detailed pseudo-realistic backgrounds with cell-shaded characters, creatures and effects. While the art style and character designs evoke anime-inspired games like Ni No Kuni or Dragon Quest, but the gameplay appears to be more reminiscent of classic adventures like the Legend of Zelda series.

It's unclear whether Baldo will be a linear adventure or open-world, but the trailer shows its titular hero tackling a slew of tasks that will be familiar to explorers of all types. We see him delving into what appear to be dungeons, wandering through forests full of lush greenery and adorable wildlife, battling lizard monsters and robots with extendable claw arms, solving several lever-and-switch-based environmental puzzles, and (probably most importantly) jamming with a very cool frog.
