18 unannounced PlayStation Vita games will be playable at the Tokyo Game Show, Sony has announced.

Three unannounced PlayStation 3 games will also be playable, Andriasang reports.

'LittleBigPlanet' Vita will import PlayStation 3 costumes

LittleBigPlanet on PlayStation Vita will import costumes from the PlayStation 3 versions, Sony has confirmed.

Senior producer Pete Smith told Digital Spy at gamescom 2011 that "most" costumes can be transferred, with the ambition to bring over as many as possible barring licencing issues.

With regards to sharing levels between the two versions, it was something that the studio "looked long and hard at" but felt it would compromise the community.

"Technically it was very, very challenging. Extremely challenging. Because we're backwards compatible with PlayStation 3, so [there's] all of the content across two Blu-rays and all of the DLC... there's just so much content," he said.

"But actually, as we started to make the Vita version, we're trying to create a slightly different experience anyway. So it felt right that you would go on the PS3 for the more epic levels, then you go on the Vita and you would expect a different experience."

Smith continued: "You start saying, okay, I'll built a Vita version without all those features, because I'm building it on PS3. It just felt compromised, and LittleBigPlanet has never been about compromise. That's why the game is totally brand new from the ground up."

It was confirmed that community service LittleBigPlanet.me will be supported, allowing users to cue up stages for both the PlayStation 3 and Vita versions of the game, something which was important for the studio.

LittleBigPlanet will make use of the Vita's features, including front and rear touch inputs, tilt and cameras for importing custom textures.

LittleBigPlanet will launch on Vita sometime in 2012.

Supremacy MMA PlayStation Vita Version Detailed

505 Games and Kung Fu Factory have announced that Supremacy MMA will be coming to Sony’s next-gen portable platform, the PlayStation Vita following its launch. Supremacy MMA will feature exclusive content including new fighters, venues and features found only on the PlayStation Vita, delivering all the brutality and fast arcade action of the most controversial mixed martial arts (MMA) game in history.
Armed with arcade-like speed and real in-game fighters, including former UFC champ Jens Pulver as well as the first real female fighters in an MMA game, Felice Herrig and Michele Gutierrez, Supremacy MMA favours fast-and-furious gameplay and underground aesthetics over boring Electronic Theatre Imagesimulation-style presentation.
Ian Howe, President of 505 Games, North America commented, “Supremacy MMA takes MMA where it’s never gone before, with unprecedented brutality and arcade speed, and now it’s headed for another new frontier as the sole MMA game to go to handheld in 2011. The arcade-styled gameplay is perfectly suited for quick handheld sessions, and the game looks amazing on Sony’s hot new tech.”
Supremacy MMA is scheduled for release on the 20th September, 2011 for Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and the PlayStation3 computer entertainment system. A release date for Supremacy MMA on PlayStation Vita has not yet been confirmed.

Sony has named 74 work in progress PlayStation Vita games.

Add these to the 26 PlayStation Vita Japan launch titles and you have the 100 games Sony touted for release by March 2012. The official document doesn't mention when these 74 games will be released.

Also, to call all of them games is a bit strong. Some teach languages, others are slot machine simulations, and so on. Most will likely never head West.

Furthermore, a significant amount of them don't yet have names. They're referred to simply as "genre" by "company".

Notably, there's no new Monster Hunter game. The only Vita Monster Hunter game confirmed so far is an enhanced port of Monster Hunter Portable 3rd. And even that title is absent from both the launch line-up and "work in progress" list.

Monster Hunter's absence is even more glaring when put next to Nintendo's announcement of Monster Hunter 4 on 3DS.

The PlayStation Vita's battery gives you between three and five hours of gameplay, Sony has announced.

That extends to five hours of video playback or nine hours of music playback, if in standby mode. It'll take approximately two hours and 40 minutes to charge from empty.

MGS, ZoE HD Collections confirmed for Vita

The announcement was made at the Sony Tokyo Game Show press conference.

The MGS Collection, which features HD versions of Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, releases worldwide on PS3 in November.

Furhtermore, the Zone of the Enders HD Collection will also appear on Vita alongside its PS3 counterpart next year. That particular pack features the first ZoE game, as well as sequel The Second Runner.

Kojima also announced that the new Fox Engine, being made alongside Kojima’s next original game, will support Vita as well as PS3. The engine was shown for the first time at E3 as a multiplatform affair.

When we’ll actually see the new game, Kojima wouldn’t say, but was blunt in saying that it could “take a while,” adding he couldn’t say anymore on it.

The editors of monthly games magazine Gemaga appear to have stumbled upon a new feature for PlayStation Vita. According to the Gemaga Twitter, Sony's Tokyo Game Show Vita pamphlet says that the system allows you to take screenshots whenever you want.

Sony showed off many of the system's firmware features at its press conference yesterday, but this was not among them.

Japonai kitamet gales tiesiogei broadcastint savo gameplay is Vitos, kitas pasaulis nors streaminima video pajungtu ir tai butu gerai jau.

PlayStation Vita's Nico Nico Douga functionality will include more than just support for streaming videos covered in the service's characteristic walls of comments. Nikkei reports that Nico Nico operator Niwango is working on developer tools that will allow developers to build live broadcast functionality into their games.

According to the Nikkei report, the Nico Nico API is currently able to just broadcast a player's face snapped by the system's front camera. Next year, Niwango plans on updating the API to support live broadcasting of gameplay footage as well.

At Tokyo Game Show, Nico Nico detailed "Game Jikkyou" or "Game Broadcast." At present, this refers to the former type of broadcast -- just broadcasting the players' face along with an audio stream. Nikkei's report today confirms that the more advanced game footage broadcast will also be supported in the new year.

As indicated by the talk of a developer API, these broadcast features are at the game level rather than system level. It looks like games will have to include support for the live broadcast feature by reklama netoleruojamarporating Niwango's API.
